Generazioni FA is a Social Cooperative located in the District of Bergamo (Northern Italy), dedicated to increasing the well-being, social cohesion, and quality of life of individuals and families within its territory. With a multidisciplinary team of 140 professionals, Generazioni FA manages services and projects across three main areas of intervention:

  • Elderly Care: Generazioni FA offers a range of social and health services, including home care and residential facilities, tailored to the needs of the elderly. In recent years, the cooperative has specialized in dementia care, providing targeted support to individuals facing cognitive challenges.
  • Children and Family Support: The cooperative provides residential, semi-residential, and community-based services to support children and families experiencing social and familial distress. Generazioni FA aims to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and families can receive the assistance they need.
  • Cultural Well-being: Generazioni FA leverages art and culture to address social issues, using innovative initiatives to spark dialogue and raise awareness. Through various artistic expressions, the cooperative seeks to shed light on pressing social issues.

ACUFADE is a regional NGO based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, boasting extensive experience in senior care and active aging initiatives. Their mission, goal, and core belief revolve around promoting the well-being of the elderly and dependent individuals, particularly those living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, as well as their caregivers and families. With 16 years of experience under their belt, ACUFADE has established itself not only as a service provider but also as a driving force behind various social and community initiatives of solidarity. What began as a small family endeavor has blossomed into a multidisciplinary team of over 120 dedicated individuals and 30 volunteers.

ACUFADE actively participates in EUROCARERS (the EU network for informal caregivers) and the World Patient Alliance (a global network of organizations working with patients), leveraging these memberships to ensure wide dissemination of results and continuous learning.

At the heart of ACUFADE’s work lie values such as solidarity, equality, participation, proximity, collaboration, engagement, creativity, enthusiasm, affection, and positiveness, guiding their endeavors to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.

The Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (Alzheimer Hellas) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of services to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. With a legacy of service to the local community dating back to 1995, Alzheimer Hellas offers a nurturing and supportive environment for those affected by dementia, as well as their caregivers.

Alzheimer Hellas is committed to raising awareness within the community and combatting the stigma associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, the organization focuses on managing behavioral and affective disorders stemming from dementia through non-pharmacological interventions.

Operating two Day Centres for Alzheimer’s Disease Problems in Thessaloniki, Alzheimer Hellas serves nearly 7,400 individuals, providing over 155,000 services annually. Among the comprehensive services offered are early diagnosis, treatment, support for research projects, rapid implementation of new therapies, family support, and efforts to enhance the quality of life for patients and their caregivers. The organization’s overarching goal is to minimize marginalization and ensure that individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease receive the support they need to live fulfilling lives.
