Welcome to our project

Welcome to our project aimed at enriching the lives of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, their families, and caregivers. Our focus is on enhancing community services and support systems to empower those with dementia to live fulfilling lives. Central to our mission is the cultivation of intergenerational connections, acknowledging the immense value these relationships bring to creating inclusive environments.

  • Project duration: November 2023-November 2025
  • Project budget: 60.000,00 EUR

“According to the latest Alzheimer Europe Report, dementia stands as the leading cause of disability and dependency among older adults, impacting nearly 8 million individuals in the EU. This number is projected to nearly double by 2050, reaching approximately 15 million. When considering that, on average, three family members are directly affected by each dementia patient, the total number of Europeans impacted by dementia can be estimated at around 19 million.”

Through collaborative efforts, we aim to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance the overall well-being of individuals with dementia and their families. This includes the development of tools and resources to improve service delivery, as well as the implementation of pilot projects focused on intergenerational and community inclusion.

Our project also prioritizes raising awareness and promoting engagement within communities, ensuring that individuals living with dementia and their families are informed about available support services. By enhancing the competencies of social workers and other professionals, we aim to facilitate the activation of innovative community engagement actions and improve caregiving skills across dementia care.
